Canada has an international reputation as being one of the coldest countries in the world. Let's face facts, it is. Did you know however, that our capital city of Ottawa does not even rank in the top 5 of the world's coldest capital cities? It ranks 7th. As per the rankings of the top 10 coldest places in the world, Canada is represented by two locations. Snag, Yukon at #7 with Ft. Selkirk also in the Yukon, ranking #9. Needless to say, we Canadians need a little something to keep us warm. With this in mind we've included this "Hot and Spicy" category to keep you hot throughout the bone chilling winter. With reference to Canada's climate here are a few other facts:
Warmest Canadian City: Chilliwack British Columbia. In fact, B.C. maintains 10 of the top 11 warmest locales in Canada with Windsor, Ontario being the only other top 10 hotspot outside of BC - it ranks #8.
Coldest City in Canada: Yellowknife holds this dubious distinction while at that same time maintaining its reputation of being one of the sunniest regions in Canada.
