Delivery Area
The Great Canadian Gift Company delivers to all destinations within continental North America, Europe, Asia, Australia, South America and all Armed Forces bases worldwide. Occasionally, the destination requested may be cost prohibitive or may apply restrictions on the selected product purchased for shipment. If this is the case we will notify you immedicately via email.
Shipping to Canadian Destinations
We deliver from Victoria to St. John's and all points in between. Typically if the products selected are going to a business in a major populated area we will utilize the surfaces of Canpar, Purolator Courier or Fedex. On occassion when the business is located in a more rural destination, we will use Canada Post as the selected courier due to the limited availility or high cost of the other couriers. When shipping to a residential location we typically will always use Canada Post unless Next Hand Delivery is requested. When inputting the shipping address it always very important to state the phone number and correct postal code of the recipient address. Shipping to the United States
We ship to all States within the continenal US and all US Armed Forces Bases worldwide. Unless otherwise requested we consistently use the services of Canada Post who then transfer the parcel to the US Postal Service for delivery. Although very rare occassionally parcels may get held up at US customs for whatever reason. When this happens please accept our apologies and know that we do whatever we can to obtain the release of your parcel.
Shipping Internationally
When inputting the shipping destination during check out, a drop down menu is available for you to select the country, province/state or county that you wish to send to. It is very important when providing shipping information that the phone number of the recipient is stated. Please see our section titled International Shipping, for the options available, dimension and weight requirements and delivery timeframes pertaining to each shipping service available.
Shipping Timesframes
Typically orders recieved prior to 3 PM will be prepared for shipping that day if all products selected are in stock. Orders placed after 3:00 P.M. EST Monday through Friday (excluding holidays) will ship from our warehouse the next day if the selected product is in stock. Orders placed over the weekend and on holidays will be processed the next business day and will be shipped within our specified delivery timetable. (Business days are Monday through Friday, excluding Canadian holidays.)
With Whom and How do We Ship
We ship using Canada Post and Canpar depending on the location, address and delivery service requested for the order. Please keep in mind, shipping prices outlined below are based on the order being processed and leaving from our central warehouse location in Ancaster, Ontario. You will be notified promptly by email of any delays in shipping. Items ordered together are not necessarily shipped together (due to size, weight and stock availability), and may be received separately. You will always be notified if this is the case.
How Do I Ship to Multiple Locations
Shipping to multiple shipping destinations is relatively simple. Prior to adding a product to your cart, there is a box under the product listing that says Send to: Simply put in the name of the recipient and add that product to your cart. In the third step of your check out, you'll be prompted to input the address of the recipients. When sending several parcels to many assorted destinations it is perhaps more simple to send a spread sheet to our Corporate Gifts Department at corporate@thegreatcanadiangiftcompany.com. Please ensure that you've specified the Name of Contact, Company, Address and Phone Number corresponding to the product you would like sent to the specified recipients.
Corporate Orders
Corporate Orders (of product or gift baskets) will be processed as a group order through our Corporate Services Department.
