In trying to figure out what to get my boss for a gift at an appreciation luncheon, I figure I'll stick to the theme that everyone has followed by the longest time. He's from BC and we always make fun of him for it (not that there's anything wrong with BC). I start surfing around for Canadian gifts on Google and I come up with this website. Very well laid out with amazing selection and easy navigation. Great quality products and a fantastic stock of distinctly Canadian items (Inukshuks, Ice Wine products, Maple products, etc.).
The ordering process was smooth, check out was secure, and pricing is reasonable. The customer service was great. Two problems came up with my order (out of stock items and delayed shipping) but they still get an enthusiastic 5/5.
Out of Stock: I ordered a snack item and an Inukshuk that were said to be in stock. Rather than receiving an email two days later about it, I received a phone call the very next morning and the woman who helped me gave me a great list of very comparable products with pricing. She helped me with my ignorance of Canadian culture and we decided to replace the snack with another very appealing item of the same price and the Inukshuk was replaced by an attractive paperweight that had the image of an etched inukshuk inside.
Delayed Shipping: This gift was very time sensitive as it had to arrive before the luncheon. I opted to pay for rushed shipping and for some reason, after 5 days, it hadn't arrived. I called the corporate office and the man who helped me was so kind and accommodating. He took my number down, apologized sincerely, searched for the status of my order, called me back within 10 minutes, and had a duplicate order Express mailed to me over night. It arrived the next day in less than 24 hours from the time of the phone call. One week after the luncheon, I received a call from him again. He wanted to make sure that I received the order and to make sure that I was taken care of.
